Olimpos : Olympos was one of the 6 major cities of Lycian Federation in 2nd B.C.E. In antiquity the Gods and Goddesses had 20 residences, called Mount Olympos. 16 of them are in Turkey. Lycian Olympos (8000ft.), called Tahtali Dagi, dominates the eastern shores of Lycia. The settlement of Olympos is on the west end of the beach stretching in front our pension. It is in a well protected gorge, built on two banks of a river. One can walk to the site on the beach or hike to it over fertile lands, pomegranate orchards, ancient graveyards, pine forests, looking at the great views of the mountain Olympos.

Chimaera : Eternal flames of the fire breathing monster Chimaera is a unique attraction in this area. These ever burning flames have triggered a lot of myths in the area and also fear until they believe that the fire breathing monster was killed by the Lycian hero Bellerophon, who was riding Pegasus with the Gods permit. Later the Lycian built a temple for Hephaistos, the god of ironsmiths and then to Mitra, which later became a Christian Monastery. Take a book and a bottle of wine and hike up to this magnificent site at dusk and admire the view and drink a toss to the honor of ancient heroes, Hephaistos and Mitra.

Phaselis : An ancient historian says: If you ask me the worst people in Pamphylia, I would say they live in Side. If you ask me the worst people in the whole world, then I would say, they live in Phaselis. People of Phaselis have gained a terrible reputation for their unreliability in commerce and trade and political attitude. Yet, it has been an ideal stopover for boats with itís 3 natural harbor. Phaselis comes to the sight with Alexander the Greatís visit in 332 B.C.E. He honored the city by spending the winter, before he proceeded his campaign into the Central Anatolian Planes. This is a must see site with itís beautiful beaches, Hadrian's Gate, Gynmasium and baths, and a theater with most spectacular view.
